To Juice, or not to Juice
The answer is always: “Yes. Juice!” The benefits of juicing is hard to overestimate. By juicing fruits and vegetables we free vitamins, carbohydrates, proteins, minerals and much more from their “imprisonment” within the fiber. It forms a concentrated cocktail of fast absorbing nutrients that will stream down your bloodstream as an express train of healthy awakening.
Juicing is the only way to get so much nutrients and minerals in your body in such a fast manner. It is recommended to drink freshly squeezed juices daily even if one’s diet is rich in consumption of fruits and vegetables. Juicing should not replace your salads and fruit bowls completely. Fruits and vegetables are great sources of fiber that is essential for our digestive systems. One has got to eat raw fruits and vegetables as much as he or she can daily.
As a reminder, this is the best time to try juicing and experiment with it. We are in the middle of the harvest season when farmers markets will have the greatest selection of fresh fruits and vegetables for juicing. Take advantage of this and work out your favorite formula of health potion and, perhaps, share it here with us.
Juicing Tips
- Many people tend to juice only fruits for their sweet taste. Besides nutrients fruit juices contain sugars. Try incorporating vegetables and greens into your juicing diet.
- Drink freshly squeezed juices right away. Make them just enough for one drink. Juices stay “alive” for only about 20 minutes.
