Why We Fail to Stay on the Raw Food Diet!

thinking_alone.jpgThe intent of this article is not to convince you to stay on the raw food diet but to help you overcome possible frustrations that you may encounter in the beginning of your transformations. 

Besides lacking mental eagerness to maintain feeding our bodies in a healthy manner there might be other reasons most of us will get off the diet quite soon after we start.  It takes more than just the will to eat raw food.  It also takes the right food and accessories for its preparation.  One can surely survive with a knife and a cutting board as he or she fixes up daily salads and fruit cocktails. However without special equipment we may become limited to just a few dishes we will be able to prepare and the diet will become dull.  Soon enough we will be wrapped in temptations to snatch something that is outside of the raw food diet. 

If you are still asking: “How is it possible?”  Well, you are right, the color and the taste pallet of the fruit and vegetable kingdom is very rich.  It would be a surprise to get bored with them.  However besides the taste we should consider the texture of the foods we are used to.  Solid, hard and crunchy foods are no longer available to us in such variety as before.  And that appears to be a be a great deal!  We would have to entertain ourselves with dried foods, nuts, etc.  Get ready to acquire a dehydrator.  While at it, consider a juicer and a chopper of some kind if not a food processor.
