Cleaning Out Your Life Right Now [Raw Food Tips]

Don’t you wish you could have a magic cleaning fairy to clean up for you?
We here at RFRN have just started doing some “spring cleaning”.
We know you’re probably asking…
“Spring cleaning? But isn’t it fall?”
Not only is it fall (and it will be winter weather soon), but we thought that instead of spring cleaning, we’d start a new term here at RFRN: Now Cleaning.
What is Now Cleaning?
Well, Now Cleaning is very much like spring cleaning, but you do it now, rather than waiting for spring. Or until after the holidays. Or that mysterious time in the future called “sometime later”.
No better time than the present, right? As they say in the New Age circles, you can never clean “later”, you can only clean now.
If you’ve never done any serious cleaning out of anything and everything physical in your life, we would both like to highly recommend this extremely therapeutic (and we believe, necessary) practice.
Cleansing and Detox
In the raw food movement, many of us have been on certain detox or cleansing programs and protocols at some point. From Juice Feasting to colon cleansing, parasite programs, water fasting and everything in between, it seems that there is always more cleaning of our internal environment that we can do.
All of these programs are great for your physical body, and there are some wonderful emotional and internal results from those various detox programs, but most of these programs ignore the biggest part of our lives: The entire rest of our lives that isn’t about raw food.
So while the two of us here at RFRN take some time to clean ourselves and our environment out emotionally, physically, and spiritually, we’d like to give you some tools and techniques you can use to clean your own house, whether it’s your physical house or your “body house”.
Get Yourself Squeaky Clean
While we believe that you can never reach the perfectly eternal, totally clean and organized life, you can also never reach that perfect state of internal cleanliness as well. The world we live in now is constantly exposing us to certain toxins and chemicals, whether emotional or physical. Even if we are clean on the inside, we may turn on the news and watch something that stirs up some nasty emotions or memories inside of us. You can never truly escape that.
With our current version of Now Cleaning that we are about to embark upon, we are going to be working on the following six types of cleansing:
- Physical Environment - Scrub, wash, clean our house. Top to bottom.
- Organizational - We are going to go through everything we own and determine if it is necessary to keep in our lives right now. Yep, every last piece of paper will have its trial.
- Body - Although we’ve been very raw for years, there are always some nasty habits that can show up in our food lives that we are ready to let go of.
- Emotional - With all the new incredible tools and philosophies out there, there is a plethora of opportunities to clean those nasty little emotional habits up. Is it really worth it to get angry at a politician you don’t even know personally?
- Relational - Who do you want to spend more time with? Less time with?
- Career/Business - What’s truly serving us and how can we truly serve? What’s working, what’s not?
Let’s get to some tools to handle this cleaning…
